But there are many people who are alone, or feel left out – others who have lost someone they love or are missing them. Lord, often at Christmas time these people feel sadder than ever. We pray that you will bless all the lonely this Christmas and that you will comfort them, so that they will come to know you and your love. Ingredients 175g chilled chopped butter 175g caster sugar 175g self-raising flour 2 tsp ground ginger What to do… Mix the ingredients by hand or in food processor until the mixture forms a ball. Take walnut-sized lumps of dough and roll each into a small ball. Place on a baking tray and flatten each slightly with the palm of your hand. Bake in a low oven – 250 F/130 C/Gas 1/top left over in a 4-door aga – for 1-1.5 hours. The biscuits should lift easily off the tray with a palette knife, Cool, and store in an airtight container.
