We’ve got the certificate to prove it! Young winners of the Second Friends of St Mary’s Art Event have every reason to be proud. They were chosen from more than 100 children in the Woodbridge area. Pictured with the winners is James Neal (centre, back) of Neals Estate Agents, who sponsored the Art Event, with Nick Cottam and event organiser Rosemary Scott. All that jazz Gershwin came to tea at St Mary’s this summer, as local jazz quartet Joyspring (pictured left) brought the virtuoso American composer to life in a first for the church. Despite the rain, the church was as full as it is for Sunday worship as jazz enthusiasts chilled to the lilting sounds of Rhapsody in Blue and other Gershwin favourites. The event, hosted by the Friends of St Mary’s, raised over £650 for the church building.
