Issue 3 Summer 2007

Chosen by Freddie, aged 6

The Lord bless us, and keep us.
The Lord make His face to shine upon us,
and be gracious unto us.
The Lord lift up His countenance upon us,
and give us peace,
both now and evermore. Amen.

Fruit Kebabs

Cut up any fruit of your choice into bite-size pieces and put on to kebab sticks. You can put the pieces on alternately to make a colourful pattern. If you make them in advance, pour lemon juice over them to keep their colour. We like bananas, grapes and strawberries in our house!

Summer Riddle

My first is in shell but not in tree.
My second is in spell and also in three.
My third is in land but not in tide.
My fourth is in stand and also in side.
My fifth is in ice-pop but not in cone.
My sixth is in dew-drop but not in stone.
My seventh is in bucket and also in spade.
My whole is somewhere to paddle and wade.

What am I?
