Theos is a group of young people ranging from Year 6 to Year 11. We meet most Sundays upstairs in St Marys House between 10 am and 11 am, and would welcome new members.
We do a variety of different activities every week. In the past we have performed a short play in church, discussed contemporary issues, been on a cinema and park outing, and contributed to the remembrance of the atomic bombing of Japan, by making origami cranes with the congregation. We also raised almost 200 for the church flag which you can see flying on of the top the church tower.
In the future we hope to participate more in the church services by reading prayers and displaying our creative posters that were made in our Sunday meetings. We also hope to meet outside the Sunday meeting, doing things such things as going on trips and exploring our faith.
Our latest project is called My Church. This is a PowerPoint presentation of digital photographs, which will be set to music and shown to the church congregation.
Come and join us!!
