Music to the ears

Julian Lloyd-Webber

St Marys Church will be the venue for a Masterclass and Workshop led by the world-famous cellist Julian Lloyd Webber on 17th November. This will be a chance for young musicians from Woodbridge School to polish up their skills, and an evening concert (now fully booked) will feature their performances, with some items played by the maestro himself.

Also coming up is Yuletide music across the ages, a Christmas concert by the Suffolk Singers, which takes place at St Marys Church on 13th December at 7.00 pm. The event features guest soloist Olivia Castle, a finalist in BBC Chorister of the Year 2008.
Entry: 7 (free to accompanied children under 14)

Books galore!

A fantastic array of childrens books has just arrived in St Marys Shop. There are big story books, sticker books, pop-up books, lift-the-flap books, jigsaw books, and even musical board books ideal for Christmas gifts and stocking fillers. As usual, we also stock a variety of Advent calendars and Traidcraft Christmas cards.

Anniversary bash

2008 marks the 125th Anniversary of the Salvation Army Woodbridge Corps, founded in 1883. Special events have been held throughout the year, and St Marys Church was honoured to be the venue for a special celebration on 25th October when the Anglia Fellowship Band gave a concert open to everyone.

The Rectors Coffee and Cake Evening on 5th December at 7.30 pm is in aid of the Salvation Army Christmas Boxes.
