Our programme of Prayer Walks continues despite the rather wet weather of summer and early autumn. On one walk we celebrated an auspicious date, 08.08.08, with another visit to the Dunwich and Minsmere areas. Flowers were in abundance, and we found about 40 species on heath and water meadows. We prayed at stops around the circuit, read from the Bible and shared both words and companionship.
Our September walk was shorter, but included Morning Prayer in the quiet simplicity of Ramsholt Church. The sun shone, several interesting birds displayed for our benefit, and we explored the wildlife in and around the churchyard. It has been good to meet up with other members of Churches Together, and to forge friendships, on these walks.
More walks are planned for the coming months:
| Friday 28 November: | Walk into Advent |
| Thursday 4 December: | Winter walk |
| Saturday 27 December: | Looking forward |
Details will be given on St Marys Church noticeboard and circulated to the Woodbridge and Melton churches. Walking and talking, praying together, was an important element of Christs ministry we should do the same.
