Welcome to St. Mary's Parish Church, Woodbridge, Suffolk ...

IMPORTANT NOTICE - PUBLIC WORSHIP – SUNDAY, 12TH JULY 2020
We are delighted to report that last Sunday 45 people attended the first of our resumed services. Given that there was such an enthusiastic response, with so little notice, we feel that it would be wise to use a booking system, at least for the time being.

The Right Revd Martin Seeley, the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, announced in February that the next Rector of St Mary’s Woodbridge and Priest in Charge of Great Bealings will be The Revd Nigel Prior.  Nigel is presently Vicar of Mayfield and Five Ashes in the Diocese of Chichester. The date for Nigel’s Institution and Induction service has been postponed and will be established in due course.

Hopefully the information in our website will encourage you to visit our wonderful Church, at sometime in the future, because it is never easy to go somewhere new for the first time! We are friendly and caring and you will find us cheerful and welcoming. We are part of the Church of England and we are in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. St Mary's, a beautiful, Grade 1 listed building, with a history dating back almost 600 years, is open every day of the week. This website will give you information about our services, our activities and our contact points.

"Like many people who walk into our church, you may just be browsing. You may live

near us or many miles away.  We hope that you will discover here something of God's presence and love, which stimulates us to serve Him in our  daily lives."

The Revd. Canon Kevan S. McCormack, Rector (2000 - 2020)
