Bio: Andrew was a music scholar at King's College, Cambridge and studied piano with Dennis Murdoch at the Royal Academy of Music. Since retiring as a school Director of Music, latterly at Ipswich School, he has been able to devote more time to music making. Performances over the last two years have included: Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with Woodbridge Choral Society at Snape Maltings, directing and playing the solo piano part, both from memory; trios by Brahms and Glinka, Fauré’s Piano Quartet no. 1 with the Gainsborough Quartet, accompanying tenors Richard Edgar-Wilson and Keith Lewis, Stravinsky’s Petrushka with the Wolsey Orchestra and five piano recitals.


Andrew is conductor of Woodbridge Choral Society, with whom highlights in recent years have included: Verdi Requiem, Britten War Requiem, Mendelssohn Elijah, Mozart Requiem, Ben Ponniah…
