About the event
Suffolk Refugee Support and Kesgrave & Woodbridge Hub invite you to this free event focused on hearing the experiences of local Ukrainians, who will share their stories and be interviewed by Sir Nick Young. There will also be performances by Ukrainian singers. 'Contra spem Spero' is a famous 1890 poem by the Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukranka. It embodies resilience, courage and the determination to find joy amidst suffering.
There will be an interval with refreshments, run by the Friends of St Mary's, including a donation bar. All welcome!
